Tongan Lanuge Week Celebration

Last friday one of the teachers (Ms Tuakoi) did a tongang dance. It was the first ever time that she had done a tongan dance in front of the school. It was really great to see her embracing it her culture and heritage in a fun way.

Tongan Language Week

This week is nation wide tongan language week. This means that all over New Zealand we will be embracing the togan culture. So the way that we are embracing it in our school is by decorating our school foyer with togan decorations. Unfortunately in New Zealand many people don't see the point of conversing with people from other culture. I believe that the way that we can fix this is by being inviting, hopefully the example will spread out across New Zealand
