Te digestive System

The food’s journey to the large intestine.

This is all about how the digestive system works. The digestive system is made up of many different parts like the stomach, pancreas

A piece of food starts the digestive tract when it enters your mouth. In your mouth there are these things called salivary gland which along with your mouth and teeth help break up your food which makes it easier for the rest of the journey through the digestive system. Once all of your food has been broken into tiny pieces the tongue the food to be moved into your esophagus.

Once the food has reached the esophagus it gets closer to the stomach. The esophagus is very unique because it pushes the food down by tensing the muscles then relaxing the muscles pushing it down into the stomach.

When the food has reached the stomach the stomachs starts dissolving it into sort of a liquid form from the gastric acid inside your stomach. THis acid is strong enough to dissolve a nail so the stomach produces another layer of mucus every week so it doesn’t destroy itself from the inside out. Once there is enough liquid in the stomach it gets released into the small intestine.

When the food finally reaches the small intestine it is in a watery form so it is easier for the small intestine to collects all of the protein, vitamins, fats and nutrients that help our body to survive.

The pancreas, the liver and the gall bladder produce things called bile which makes life alot easier for the large intestine.

When the food finally reaches the large intestine it is nearly near the end of the digestive system but first it has to harden up so it can come out of the rectum.

On the 22nd of May a group of student went to spark headquarters in the city for a OMG! Tech rangers day where there was Robotics, Unmaking, Science, 3d Design and Coding. My favorite bit was the unmaking because I got to take apart a DVD player.

Ice Age Live

On Saturday my Mum, my Dad and I went to Ice Age Live in the Vector Arena. In the show there were ice skaters, Manny, Ellie, Peaches, Sid, Diego, Buck, some evil birds and Crash and Eddie.The best part of the whole show was when the actors came out of some of the costumes and did battle scenes or acrobatics. 

Triplets Maths Games

Today I played the triplets math game where you had to sort a diagram and simplified fraction and an unsimplified fractions into five different fractions and there were many levels so as I progressed through the game cam the fractions got bigger and the diagrams go larger I went to level  10 but then I failed and lost. Next week I would like to do Lowest common multiples and highest common factors

First Rugby Game Of The Season

On saturday I had my rugby game of this years season. This year my I am playing tighthead prop. The end score was a tie (5 tries to 5 tries) Now our team have got another 2 training sessions then our second game of the season.
